The Challenge

Taking a federal farmhouse site with an historically significant observation tower and maintaining the integrity of the rural setting. The scope of the project involved the relocation of the attached garage to allow for a large family room off the existing kitchen in addition to a new mudroom, laundry room, and mechanical area .

The Solution

The wrap around porch doubled as a connector link to the main entrance and protected cover to the new mud room entrance. The rear covered porch with the view of the historic tower and pool area incorporated a new sitting area and outdoor fireplace that backs up to the stone family room fireplace.
